State Grid Huzhou Power Supply uses power generation vehicles in the distribution network upgrade project.

State Grid Huzhou Power Supply recently performed an upgrade of the distribution network in Shanmin village, Deqing county, Zhejiang province by using 10-kilovolt medium-voltage power generation vehicles with grid connection technology.

The technology made it possible to ensure uninterrupted power supply to nearly 350 households living along the line during the construction period, achieving a seamless upgrade of the distribution network facilities.

The distribution power lines are fundamental power facilities directly serving users. They have a complex network structure and wide coverage. With continuous economic development, both businesses and residents now have higher requirements for power supply.

In some cases of traditional distribution network transformation projects, problems such as long power outages and repeated power outages often occur and affect the power supply service quality.

This time, the medium-voltage power generation vehicle used in the case integrates diesel generators, circuit breakers, grid connection devices, flexible cables and other equipment, which can supply power to multiple distribution transformers.

By using the vehicle, it can effectively avoid power interruptions and further improve power supply reliability, accumulating experience for subsequent grid maintenance.

In recent years, State Grid Huzhou Power Supply has innovated its operation mode by introducing live-line working robots, tracked insulated bucket-arm vehicles, and non-leg insulated bucket-arm vehicles and other new equipment.

It has also implemented new working modes such as tethered unmanned aerial vehicle-assisted nighttime live-line work and insulated scaffolding-assisted live-line work, achieving full coverage of 33 types of live-line distribution network working subjects and gradually establishing a non-power-off operation system for digital distribution networks covering all business areas and terrains.
